Terms & License
Part A — Website Terms of Use
This website is provided to share information about Dayframe and to host links to download it. By using the site you agree that:
- The site and its content are provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
- Some links lead to third-party services (GitHub for downloads; Buy Me a Coffee, Ko-fi, and PayPal for donations) that are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
- All content, branding, and the name "Dayframe" are the property of the developer and may not be copied or reused to imply endorsement without permission.
- We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or anything you download from it.
Part B — Software License (EULA)
The Dayframe application is licensed, not sold, under the agreement below.
1. License grant
The Software is free of charge. Subject to your compliance with this agreement, you are granted a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Software for your personal or internal business purposes, on any number of devices you own or control.
2. Restrictions
The Software is licensed, not sold. You may not: (a) sell, rent, lease, sublicense, or charge any fee for it; (b) redistribute or re-host it elsewhere (linking to the official download page is fine); (c) modify, decompile, disassemble, or reverse-engineer it, except to the limited extent the law expressly permits; (d) remove or alter any proprietary notices; (e) use the "Dayframe" name or logo to imply endorsement without written permission; or (f) use it for any unlawful purpose.
3. Ownership
The Software is the property of the developer and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. This agreement grants a license to use the Software, not ownership of it. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
4. Your data
Dayframe is local-first. Your content is stored on your own device; the developer has no access to it. You are solely responsible for your data and for maintaining your own backups. The built-in backup and export features are a convenience, not a substitute for your own backups, and the developer is not responsible for any loss of or damage to your data.
5. Donations
The Software is free. Any donation is voluntary, is processed by third-party providers under their own terms, is non-refundable, and grants no additional rights, features, or support.
6. Third-party components
The Software includes open-source components (such as Electron, Chromium, Node.js, better-sqlite3, and React) used under their own licenses, listed in the THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES file distributed with the app.
7. No warranty
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR FREE OF DATA LOSS. YOU USE THE SOFTWARE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE. BECAUSE THE SOFTWARE IS FREE, THE DEVELOPER'S TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED USD 25. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so parts may not apply to you.
9. Termination
This license is effective until terminated and ends automatically if you breach it. You may end it any time by uninstalling the Software. Sections 3, 4, 7, and 8 survive termination.
10. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your place of residence applies.
